After over twenty years performing with professional Concert Bands, Orchestras, and
Jazz Ensembles, Ron Wainwright is now offering Flute lessons in the Sacramento region.
Ron has been playing and teaching Flute for over 40 years, currently playing ContraBass Flute in the Camellia City Flute Choir. He also plays Flute, Alto Flute and Bass Flute in various smaller groups. His students will have opportunities to play the lower flutes, including playing in flute choir.
Since 2014, Mr. Wainwright is Music Director/Conductor for the Capital City Concert Band, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association.
Ron’s philosophy is that anyone and everyone CAN play music, and should always have FUN in the process. While the curriculum is classically-based, he welcomes anyone interested in exploring jazz/rock aspects of flute playing. Adult students are welcome.
Lessons are also available for Bass Guitar.
