Requirements

You will need an electric guitar, no acoustics or amplifiers allowed during class.
To benefit from this class guitarists should know the following chords by memory and be able to change from one to another fairly well. A, Am, Bm, C, C7, D, Dm, D7, E, Em, F, G, G7. Experienced players in bands who want to expand their fretboard knowledge are welcome. The course is designed to accommodate beginning to fairly advanced players.

Billy Raney: Received instruction from: Brandon Yip, Kurt Shiftlet, and Steve Crowell, all hold a masters degree in music. Courses in college included; music theory, song writing, recording, vocal, and the applied music program earning his scholarships through the ARC Applied Music Program for Classical Guitar Instruction. Attended many workshops taught by masters of guitar including; Zakk Wylde, Gary Hoey, Frank Hannon, Spanish guitarist, Jose Louis Merlin. Billy has shared the stage with many great players such as; Jeff Watson/Night Ranger, Neil Zaza,Robert Kearns/Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hugh McDonald/Bon Jovi. Shared album credits with legends Dickey Betts of Allman Brothers, Rick Derringer, Pat Travers,and has opened for many ,classic rock legends including; Styx, Michael Schenker, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, Leslie West,Ratt, and more.
