Take advantage of our free services! We have several free services that you can employ. Here is a list of what we offer free of charge.


1) FREE mouthpiece removal for brass instruments! Please don't try to remove a stuck brass mouthpiece yourself! Just bring it in and let us do it for you free of charge. Our specialized tooling and knowledge will save hundreds in repair costs.


2) FREE bore oil service for wood clarinets and oboes. We have the right materials and techniques to be sure that the service is completed correctly. Again, you can save significant repair dollars by letting our experts do this service at no charge.


3) FREE vacuum tube testing using our vintage tube tester. These tube testers used to be a standard feature found in many back-in-the-day grocery & drug stores. Solid state components have resulted in these testers becoming rare. We have one in the store and testing is free of charge! We also have a source for replacement tubes. While the testing is free, we do charge for the tubes. So bring in your old or nonfunctional tubes for testing and replacement.


4) FREE Stringed instrument tuning. Our technician can tune your instrument in a few minutes with your existing strings. Of course, replacement strings and string installation are products and services for which we charge a reasonable cost.


5) FREE Expert advice. We often have first-time customers and realize that many people have questions about musical instruments, private instruction and instrument maintenance. Come in and speak with our expert staff to get your questions answered and start (or continue with!) your musical life. It will be time well-spent.


6) FREE appointments. Making an appointment to see your doctor or dentist often comes with a cost. Our appointments are free to make so we can determine how to best serve your needs.

We like to stay in touch here at Tague Music. This blog helps to tell our story and let you, our friends and loyal customers, stay informed about how we can help you. Here are some ways you can help us stay in touch with you.


1. Subscribe to our email updates. Simply fill in your valid email address and we will send news to your inbox. Since we don't like "chatter" ourselves, we communicate occasionally, not constantly. You'll receive these updates through whatever email address you give to us. These email addresses (and others that you give to us for your store account, etc.) aren't rented, sold or otherwise publicized to any other business or individual. You can also send an email to us by using the form on the lower part of the same page.


2. Use the subscribe link in our webstore order final page. This has the same effect as #1.


3. Become a Tague Music site member. Simply click the red "Login" button. You'll see the "Sign Up" page, which allows you to log in or create a site member account. Completing the signup registers you as a playtague site member. When our blog posts update, those who are site members receive an automatic notice of that update. Usually, this is just a few sentences from the beginning of the blog post, with an option to "Read more." With email access on your mobile device, you can stay informed easily and quickly. Besides receiving updates, you can also communicate directly with us and with other site members. Access is under your control. You can participate as much or as little as you like.


4. Visit our Facebook page. Although blog post updates are not automatically available through our Facebook page, you can still see what we're doing in a somewhat different format.

We have a web store update in progress now! We have over 370 products in our online store that you can purchase from us online and pick up at our store. More are being added regularly.


Just go to playtague.com and look at the top of the page. Go to the shop link, point to "Shop" and access the drop-down menu entry that you want (i.e., Clarinet Accessories, Trumpet Accessories, Band Method Books, etc.). The general "Shop" link lists all products as well. Then add what you want to your online cart. We take your contact information for that transaction only. We never sell any of your information to anyone for any purpose. As an option, you can also subscribe to receive our blog post notifications when you order from us.


We use PayPal as our online payment service. No PayPal account? No problem. You can enter Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club on the checkout screen as well. Again, we do not retain (or even see!) your card info for any purpose. Our checkout process is secure and fast. If you want to pickup curbside here, simply point to "USPS" on the final order screen, drop the menu down and choose "Curbside pickup" instead. Shipping will change to "FREE".


You will receive an email confirmation at the email address you provide along with a copy of the order invoice. Then call us at 916-721-0295 to get an order pickup time. We will have your order ready for curbside pickup when you arrive between 10 AM and 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
